Champion Racing has unveiled the modified Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport that it will run at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The 911 has been adorned in a multi-colored livery reminiscent of previous Champion Porsche race cars dating back to 1995. Driving the car will be none other than Le Mans winner Romain Dumas who, in 2018, set an all-time record at Pikes Peak behind the wheel of the electric Volkswagen ID.R.
While this 911 GT2 RS Clubsport won’t be competing for all-time record honors, it will compete in the Time Attack 1 class against a specially modified Bentley Continental GT3.

A host of modifications have been made to the Porsche. For example, it features much more aero than the standard car thanks to an elongated front splitter, unique side skirts, canards on the front bumper and rear wheel arches, and an enlarged rear wing, as well as a huge diffuser.
This year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 27 marks the first time Champion Racing, a division of the Champion Porsche dealership in Florida, has raced since operating the Audi R10 TDI program during the 2008 American Le Mans Series. Dumas tested the car at Pikes Peak earlier this month.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport was unveiled in late 2018. Just 200 units are being built, each with the same twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six as the road-going variant and developing the same 690 hp. Key upgrades to the Clubsport included larger brakes, various new aerodynamic components, and the more liberal use of carbon fiber throughout to keep the car’s weight down.
