Lexus released the first official teaser of the new NX earlier this month but at video of the new NX that hit the web in February, provided us with a detailed look at its revised exterior and interior designs.
The 2022 model is immediately recognizable as a Lexus NX and sports a more dynamic appearance with a different spindle front grille and revised headlights. Lexus has also smoothed out some of the NX’s sharp body lines and overhauled the rear fascia with LED taillights and an LED light bar.

Even more significant alterations have been made to the interior. Those that have spent time in the outgoing NX will no doubt agree that its cabin is overly complicated and quite old-fashioned. Leaked images of the new model’s interior reveal a far more modern cabin with fewer buttons and switches and an expansive new infotainment screen. Lexus has also equipped the SUV with a digital gauge cluster and a stylish new steering wheel with paddle shifters.
The new Lexus NX will be underpinned by Toyota’s global luxury platform but this has yet to be confirmed. It is also speculated that the new NX will be offered with the same 302 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain as the RAV4 Prime. Other engine options will include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder.
