Pricing details for the 2022 BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe have been announced before the car arrives in Australia in the fourth quarter of the year.
Australia will get the 4-Series Gran Coupe in 420i, 430i, and M440i xDrive configurations. The entry-level 420i will set back shoppers AU$75,900 (US$57,421) while the 430i kicks off from AU$83,900 (US$63,474). Prices then rise significantly to AU$115,900 (US$87,683) for the M440i xDrive.

The only standard color offered for the 4-Series Gran Coupe is Alpine White, meaning customers will have to shell out an extra AU$2,000 (US$1,513) for Black Sapphire, Mineral White, Sunset Orange, M Portimao Blue, San Remo Green, and M Brooklyn Grey. The car is also offered in BMW Individual Dravit Grey Metallic, BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic, and BMW Individual Aventurine Red Metallic, all of which are priced at AU$3,850 (US$2,912).
Five key option packages are available. The first is dubbed the Visibility Package, costs AU$5,800 (US$4,387) and comes with metallic paintwork, an electric glass roof, BMW Laserlights, and High Beam Assistant. The Comfort Package adds a heated steering wheel, lumbar support, and heated seating, and costs AU$2,400 (US$1,815) for the 420i, AU$1,500 (US$1,134) for the 430i, and AU$1,300 (US$983) for the M440i xDrive. Aussies can also order the Driver’s Assistance Package (AU$4,500 / US$3,405) for the 420i, the M Sport Package (AU$3,700 / US$2,800 for the 420i and 430i, AU$1,800 / US$1,362) for the M440i xDrive, and the Executive Package that costs AU$3,000 / US$2,270 for the 420i, AU$3,600 / US$2,724 for the 430i, and AU$3,000 / US$2,270 for the M440i xDrive.
The new BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe is 5.9 inches longer, 1 inch wider, and 2.1 inches taller than the previous-generation model.
Powering the 420i is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 181 hp and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque while the 430i has a tweaked version of the same engine with 255 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Last but certainly not least is the M440i xDrive with its 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder producing 382 hp and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm).
