Aston Martinhas launched an all-new configurator offering an interactive digital experience to potential customers and fans from all over the world. Developed in collaboration with MHP, the configurator is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine and NVIDIA RTX on Google Cloud, so it is by no accident that it looks like a video game with ultra-realistic graphics.
Besides the new configurator that is available here, the British company announced a series of MY22 updates for their whole range.

Most configurators allow you to spec the car according to your taste while offering exterior and interior views. Aston Martin took this to another level by offering immersive 3D Ultra High Definition environments where you can place the digital model of the car both in daylight and nighttime conditions if you are bored of the traditional studio background.
You can also zoom in exploring the amazingly detailed models and the fancy photorealistic graphics. Then you can sit back and enjoy cinematic videos of both the exterior and interior in order to evaluate your configuration. At the end of the process, you can download a personalized brochure, share the configuration on social media or contact a dealer to request more information or book a test drive.
As you would expect from a British luxury brand, there is a large variety of exterior paint colors and wheel designs to choose from for the exterior, together with leathers and Alcantara for the interior, including unique options.
Aston Martin says the new interface is simplified, intuitive, and streamlined, making it easier for customers to spec their car in less time and under more pleasant circumstances. Tobias Moers, Aston Martin CEO, said: “Our customers are very busy people, so it is our job to make the buying process as simple and as enjoyable as possible.”

Aston Martin’s involvement with the Formula 1 is creating high levels of traffic on their website, with an all-time record set last March during the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix. According to the British company, traffic spikes happen every time the Aston Martin branded safety car (Vantage), medical car (DBX) or their F1 one-seater appears on the screen during the races. As for the Aston Martin configurator, the older version got two million sessions in 2020 and we are sure this number is going to increase vastly with the new one.
Tell Me About The 2022MY Updates
As for the model year updates, the DB11 and DB11 Volante received a 24 hp (18 kW / 25 PS) power increase, with the 4.0-litre V8 producing 528 hp (394 kW / 535 PS) allowing for a higher top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h). The Sport Plus Seats providing extra support are optionally available for both the DB11 and the DBX.
The DBS flagship grand tourer and the Vantage sportscar can be specified with new 21-inch wheel designs, while the DBX SUV can be fitted with even larger, 23-inch rims. The DBS has also dropped the Superleggera and AMR badges in order to simplify nomenclature across the range.
Finally, all models got the Create (personalization), Accelerate (dynamism) and Inspire (luxury) interior environments offering “combinations of materials, colours and features carefully curated by the Aston Martin Design team – each showcasing a different design character to suit a customer’s individual taste”.
