BMW isn’t the only one embracing electric vehicles as BMW Motorrad will introduce the all-new CE 04 on July 7th.
The company is keeping details under wraps, but the model was previewed by last year’s Definition CE 04 and draws inspiration from the 2017 Link concept.
BMW Motorrad isn’t saying much, but the company released a handful of teasers that show the scooter will closely resemble the Definition CE 04. While we only get a few glimpses of the model and its digital instrument cluster, the electric scooter was spied in May with a number of modifications aimed at making it street legal. As a result, the road-going model has been outfitted with mirrors, reflectors, turn signals and brake lights.

Additional changes were minor, but the production CE 04 should have a revised seat and lightly modified body panels. We can also expect a new rear fender and a handful of other small changes.
Performance specifications are the biggest mystery, but fans shouldn’t get too excited as BMW Motorrad has previously said scooters are practical everyday vehicles that aren’t designed to be fun. We can also expect a relatively short range as the company has said the scooter is aimed at urban riders, who cover approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) per day.
