Lexus also enjoyed a successful Q2 and jumped ahead of Mercedes, selling a total of 83,459 vehicles in April, May, and June, a 65 per cent increase over the previous year. The Japanese automaker’s best-selling model was the RX with 28,703 examples finding new homes.
As for Mercedes-Benz, it delivered 82,390 vehicles in the second quarter and while that was a 39 per cent increase from a year earlier, it couldn’t keep pace with its rivals.
