Brabus unveiled the 800 SUV Coupe, which is a heavily tuned version of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupe. The model closely matches the performance of the regular Brabus GLE 63 S SUV, bringing a sexier tail design into the mix with up to 789 hp.

Under the bonnet, the mild-hybrid twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 789 hp (588 kW / 800 PS) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. This represents an increase of 186 hp (138 kW / 188 PS) and 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) over the stock version, courtesy of the Brabus PowerXtra control unit and new turbos featuring a larger compression unit, a modified core assembly, and reinforced axial bearings. If this is too much for you, you can opt for the standalone software upgrades, adding 87 hp (64.7 kW / 88 PS) to the stock 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS).

In all cases, power is transmitted to all four wheels thanks to the 4MATIC+ system through a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The 789 hp version completes the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 3.4 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited at 280 km/h (174 mph), which is not bad for a 2.3-ton SUV.

In the looks department, Brabus played it safe with a series of exposed-carbon addons available in high-gloss or matt finish, complimenting the stock AMG bodykit. The new front grille with the Brabus badge makes it clear that this GLE is not stock, together with extra bits and pieces like the aero fins on the large intakes, the fender add-ons, the diffuser inserts, and the rear spoiler extension.

The most eye-catching feature is probably the 23-inch forged wheels, with Brabus offering up to a massive 24-inches shod in performance tires from Continental, Pirelli, or Yokohama. The SUV is also lowered by 25 mm (1 inch) thanks to a control module for the Airmatic air suspension, improving the aggressive stance and lowering the center of gravity.

At the back, the new stainless exhaust system sports four 90 mm tailpipes finished in titanium or carbon. The actively controlled exhaust flaps allow for an angrier sound when in Sport mode and a “subtle whisper” when in Comfort mode. The sound of the turbos is also improved with a louder blow-off noise in lift-off.

Finally, Brabus is offering fine leather and Alcantara upholstery for the interior in any desired color plus a wide range of accessories including aluminum pedals, new paddle shifters, and illuminated scuff plates matching the color of the ambient lighting.

If you are interested in acquiring a Brabus 800 SUV Coupe, you can either order it as a complete car or use your own Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe as a base for the conversion. Brabus is offering a three-year or 100,000 km (62,000 miles) tuning warranty for the owner’s peace of mind.

Pricing has not been disclosed but we expect it close to the €299,005 ($352,700) of the similar Brabus 800 based on the regular GLE 63 S. Mind you, this is considerably more than the $116,000 price tag of the stock 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe.
