The very first bespoke commission of Pininfarina’s 1,874-horsepower Battista electric hypercar is here, and boy is it a looker. Inspired by New York City, the red, white, and blue color scheme was created through Pininfarina’s Bespoke customization program, which will offer each of the Battista’s 150 customers limitless personalization options when designing their car.
Upon first glance of the exterior, it may just look like a normal red, white, and blue color scheme, but look closer and you’ll discover that the deep blue is actually not solid, rather a blue carbon fiber weave.
Called Exposed Signature Carbon with Blu Iconica thread, Pininfarina touts it as the first application of its kind in the automotive industry. The parts of the car that are painted, however, will be done so by hand, and according to Pininfarina, will take hundreds of hours to complete.
Performance Stripes and Pinstripe in Bianco Sestriere Metallic are also applied by hand over the Battista‘s flowing bodywork, and a red Exterior Jewellery Pack as well as the Furiosa Carbon Accent Pack in black Exposed Signature Carbon round out the exterior theme. The Impulso wheels are finished in Dark Matt Grey, and feature black aluminum center-lock rings to match the roof, diffuser, rear wing, and headlight engraving.

The interior sees Pilota seats upholstered in black leather, and their carbon seatbacks feature the same Iconica Blu thread as the exterior. Continuing that theme is Iconica Blu Alcantara with navy color inserts, Iconica Blu stitching with a red and white cross stitch, red headrest logos, and white seatbelts. As far as trim goes, red brushed aluminum complements the red Exterior Jewellery Pack from the outside, while black brushed aluminum from the Interior Jewellery Pack adds some darker details to the mix.

Pininfarina’s legacy of coachbuilding stretches back 91 years, and that will only continue with the Battista, where each customer’s car will be one-of-a-kind. The company’s Bespoke customization program offers 13.9 quintillion unique exterior combinations and 128 million interior combinations, but with only 150 Battistas being built, we unfortunately won’t get to see too many of them.
Customers will be invited to Pininfarina’s renovated Cambiano facility to design their Battista in a new Atelier space right alongside the production line, which is set to open later this year. They will also have access to the neighboring museum, which will house a collection of historic and collectible vehicles to “inspire the next generation of pure-electric automotive creations.”
