The GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 will soon reach the hands of customers, as it’s slated for launch this Fall, and in addition to offering insane levels of straight-line performance, it will also come loaded with advanced towing technologies.
Details from a GM Fleet Order Guide recently hit the web and confirms that the Hummer EV Edition 1 comes equipped with a ProGrade Trailering System as standard that includes Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, Trailer Camera Views, and Cargo Bed Camera Views.

In addition, it features an integrated trailer brake controller, trailering assist guidelines, smart trailer integration indicator, and trailer side blind zone alert, all of which come standard, The Drive notes. It has yet to be confirmed how much the Hummer EV Edition 1 will be able to tow but given its extraordinary amount of torque, it should be able to shift some seriously heavy loads with ease.
Driving the Hummer EV Edition 1 are three electric motors that combine to produce 1,000 hp and 11,500 lb-ft (15,592 Nm) of torque. The pickup will also come standard with a ‘Watts to Freedom’ launch control system that will send it to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.0 seconds, a remarkable figure for a vehicle that is expected to weigh around 9,000 lbs (4 tonnes). The flagship model will also have a range exceeding 350 miles (563 km), but that figure will obviously drop the moment you hitch something to the tow bar.
