An extensively modified 1987 Saab 900 is looking for a new home and is perfectly suited to the drag strip.

While the Saab 900 is a pretty cool car in its own right, the previous owner of this example decided to turn it into a drag racer, slotting in a 5.0-liter V8 that’s been supercharged and also features an Edelbrock Performer intake. The engine is supported by an MSD distributor, Accel electronic ignition, an upgraded aluminum radiator and is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The Saab also features upgraded front suspension, a Ford 9-inch rear differential, and ladder bar rear suspension to effectively transit all the power to the pavement.

The exterior of the Saab has also been extensively modified and is now a two-tone combination of purple and silver. It also features unique aftermarket Weld Racing wheels, Hella fog lights, a hood scoop, and Cobra-style 5.0 badges.

Upgrades continue in the cabin and include a host of purple and yellow parts. There are also two racing seats, racing harnesses, a roll bar, toggle switches, and a shift lift on top of the dash. The dashboard has also been lifted from a Foxbody Ford Mustang and includes digital gauges. Other key features include power windows, power locks, power steering, a tilt steering column, a stereo, radio, and a sunroof.

The eBay listing notes that the car has been driven just 5,348 miles (8,606 km) since being overhauled with its new V8 and has an asking price of $25,995.
