The 2022 Genesis GV70 could prove to be the automaker’s best-selling model and the guys at Throttle House recently had the opportunity to put it through its paces.
The YouTubers from Canada had the opportunity to test out the GV70 with the available Sport Appearance package and the flagship 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6. This engine is good for 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) and is also found in other Genesis models such as the larger GV80.
During the first half of the review, the duo head out onto the open road where they get to experience the GV70 for the first time. Both are very impressed with what they find. In fact, they say that it is more enjoyable to drive than an Audi SQ5, even though it can’t quite match the BMW X3 M40i for driving dynamics.

Matching the impressive dynamics are appealing exterior and interior designs. While some aren’t particularly fond of Genesis with its ‘Quad Lamp’ headlights and taillights, we think it is has done an excellent with the GV70, making it one of the most attractive SUVs in its class.
The pièce de résistance of the GV70 is the interior. This example tested is clad in red leather and the cabin is almost perfect, the reviewers state. There is a large infotainment screen, an excellent three-spoke steering wheel in the 3.5T models, and some very well thought-out design features, including a little leather-clad cubby where you can store your phone.
