The LFA was created as a showcase of what Lexus could achieve. That it did, but despite its steep price, the Japanese car manufacturer reportedly lost money on each one it sold. Today, with very few high-revving naturally aspirated engines remaining on the market, it seems the automotive world is appreciating the LFA more than ever.
Just 500 examples were ever produced, meaning the vast majority of us will never have the opportunity to drive it. However, this POV video put together by YouTuber Tedward does provide viewers with a glimpse of what it is likely to drive both on the highway and through some winding country roads.

One thing clearly dominates the driving experience and that is the 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine. With 552 hp at 8,700 rpm and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque at 6,800 rpm, the LFA could be seen as underpowered compared to many modern-day supercars with their twin-turbocharged V8s but in reality, you don’t really need any more than 550 hp in a high-performance street car.
Coupled to the V10 is an Aisin six-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission and while it certainly isn’t as quick as a more modern dual-clutch, it still appears to shift through the gears very fast and provides drivers with a nice kick whenever one of the paddles is pulled.
