Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH has finally announced that Project Sandbox, the tuning house’s first project, will be fully unveiled next week.
Along with the unveiling comes a new teaser image of the car drifting through the sand. Although the specific date of the unveiling has not been specified, the company did say that it would be teasing more details in the lead-up to the full reveal.

The company previously said that its engine would be supplied by another legendary tuner: RUF. Despite Marc Philipp Gemballa’s assertions that the horsepower wars are old hat, the car will still get a healthy 750 hp (760 PS/559 kW) and 685 lb-ft (928 Nm) of torque from a modified version of the flat-six from the 992 911 Turbo S on which the Project Sandbox car is based.
Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH also revealed that its new car would feature a performance exhaust system manufactured by Akrapovic. The suspension is being supplied by KW Automotive and the car’s aero is being developed with help from KLK Motorsport.
If the name Gemballa sounds familiar to you, it’s because 27-year-old Marc Philipp’s father was Uwe Gemballa, who founded the eponymous tuning company. That tuning house is separate and unrelated to Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH, though it still exists and previously teased an off-road, Paris-Dakar-959-inspired vehicle of its own.
Marc Philipp Gemballa promises that his upcoming vehicle will be an “ultra-modern yet timeless looking supercar forming a hybrid between a modern-day super sports car with all its comfort and day-to-day practicality, combined with off-road capabilities equipping unique people for their adventure.”
