While Porsche always manages to inject a bit of sports car DNA into every vehicle they make, some of their models offer off-road driving modes as well. The Cayenne is one example of this, as it offers a handful of off-road modes in addition to its varying levels of sporty on-road modes. However, this doesn’t mean that they can conquer any terrain, as one driver who got his Cayenne stuck in the sand at a beach found out.
Special drive modes aside, when driving on sand it’s often recommended to air down your tires a bit, which allows them to conform to the sand more for extra traction. It’s not explicitly stated whether or not the Cayenne driver did this, but given his situation, many people in the video’s comments believe he didn’t. Even so, maybe the off-road modes could make up for it?

Well, no matter what they did, the Cayenne got stuck anyway. It took three people pushing in addition to the driver’s input to even move the SUV, and it doesn’t seem that he even got fully unstuck by the end of the video.
In the end, it seems like no matter how you slice it, this Cayenne wasn’t at home on the sand, and you can watch for yourself in the video below.
