The Ram 1500 TRX is the most absurd pickup truck currently offered by any manufacturer and until the V8-powered Ford F-150 Raptor R arrives, it will hold onto that crown. Sadly, many markets have missed out on the TRX and a scale model is the closest many people will ever get to see one.
This particular model has come to life thanks to the Woodworking Art YouTube channel and was made entirely from Fujian cypress wood. You’ve probably seen some of the YouTuber’s videos in the past and this one is just as impressive as the rest.

As always, the craftsman starts out with a big block of wood and cuts it into the rough shape of the pickup truck. He then hollows it out to create the interior before sawing off some of the rough edges and going to town with a sander to ensure all exterior surfaces are nice and smooth. The next steps involve nothing more than a hammer and a chisel to create the finer details of the TRX.
The work required to make the complex hood of the pickup, complete with its power bulge, is particularly impressive and includes sections of darker wooden to emulate the black accents of the life-size TRX. The fascia and front grille are also chiseled out, as is the engine bay. Work then starts on the rear of the truck where even the large ‘RAM’ logo on the tailgate is carved from wood.
Moreover, the YouTuber carves out a complete interior, including the steering wheel, seats, and dashboard, while the wooden pickup truck also features a fully functional chassis with suspension.
