Land Rover has quietly introduced the Range Rover Evoque L in China.
Designed to appease the country’s insatiable appetite for long-wheelbase models, the Range Rover Evoque L reportedly measures 178.4 inches (4,531 mm) long which makes it 6.3 inches (160 mm) bigger than the standard model.
Despite the extra length, the model is instantly recognizable as an Evoque as the most noticeable differences are longer rear doors and “L” badging on the C-pillar. That being said, Land Rover is marking the model’s introduction with three launch editions that have a two-tone exterior.

Moving into the cabin, buyers will find a more accommodating second-row with an extra 4.9 inches (125 mm) of legroom. Other highlights include a massive panoramic moonroof and power rear seats that recline up to 7 degrees and feature wing headrests for added comfort.
Elsewhere, the Evoque has a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 10.2-inch infotainment system. There’s also a third display for climate control and vehicle settings as well as a second-generation activity key, which gains an OLED touchscreen display and acts a bit like a smartwatch.
The Evoque L Launch Edition starts at ¥430,000 ($66,366 / £48,180 / €56,210) and the long-wheelbase model is expected to replace the shorter variant in China. It remains unclear if the model will be offered in other markets, but that seems unlikely.
