Renault will use the Munich Motor Show to unveil the new Megane E-Tech Electric, which is also known as the MeganE.
Set to debut on September 6th, the model was previewed by a pre-production prototype last month and will ride on the CMF-EV platform which also underpins the Nissan Ariya.
Renault has been tight-lipped about specifics, but the company has previously said the model will have a 60 kWh battery pack and an electric motor that develops 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS). This should enable the crossover to have a range of up to 280 miles (450 km) in the WLTP test cycle. While Renault hasn’t confirmed it, we can also expect the model to have 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque as well as a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of less than eight seconds.

On the styling front, the crossover will have an aerodynamic front fascia which eschews a grille. Instead, there will be a prominent Renault emblem that is flanked by slender headlights.
Moving further back, there’s a rakish windscreen and plastic body cladding. The model also has flush-mounted door handles, a distinctive beltline and aerodynamically optimized wheels.
Renault has only provided a few glimpses of the cabin, but the crossover will have a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment system with a portrait orientation. Drivers will also find a floating center console, minimal switchgear and a wireless smartphone charger that protrudes like a chin.
Following its debut in Munich, the MeganE will be launched in 2022.
In other news, Renault will display an R5 Prototype and pay tribute to the original by bringing an assortment of “iconic versions” to Munich.
