While the Aston Martin Valkyrie may be the most exciting new performance car coming from the British car manufacturer, the Valhalla will be much more affordable, accessible and, arguably, more important for the brand.
The Valhalla was first presented as a concept back in 2018 and last week, was unveiled in production guise. Since 2018, a significant amount of changes have been made to the car and in this video, Henry Catchpole discusses some of them.

When first presented, we were told the Valhalla would feature an all-new V6 developed in-house mated to a hybrid system delivering 1,000 hp. Aston Martin has since decided to kill off its V6 project and instead, the Valhalla will have the same basic 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 as the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, albeit significantly modified. This engine will deliver 730 hp at 7,200 rpm and be supplemented by a pair of electric motors at each axle, adding a further 201 hp.
Aston Martin says its new supercar will hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds and sprint through to a 217 mph (350 km/) top speed.
As Catchpole points out, a plethora of styling changes have also been made to the Valhalla to further distinguish it from the Valkyrie while still making it easily identifiable as an Aston Martin. The front end is particularly distinctive thanks to enlarged headlights over the concept and the new grille.
