Few cars get the hairs on the back of our necks standing up quite like a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 at full throttle and in this video, we get to see it pushed to its limits along the German Autobahn.
Powering the new 911 GT3 is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six that is very similar to the engine of the 2019 911 Speedster. It churns out 502 hp and 346 lb-ft (469 Nm) of torque and thanks to independent throttle bodies, is extraordinarily responsive and produces a cacophony that few other production cars can match.

During this clip from AutoTopNL, the YouTube channel tests out the acceleration of the sports car and during one run on the Autobahn, records a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 3.38 seconds. During the same run, it hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.86 seconds, runs down the quarter-mile in 11.11 seconds, needs just 7.48 seconds to go from 100 km/h – 200 km/h, and reaches 250 km/h (155 mph) in 18.56 seconds. It also completes the standing mile in 28.39 seconds and is driven all the way up to 310 km/h (192 mph).
Later on, the 911 GT3 is driven through to a top speed of 319 km/h (198 mph) as displayed on the speedometer, or 306 km/h (190 mph) as displayed on the GPS-based timing device used.
This GT3, like all others recently tested by the media, is fitted with the seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The car will also be offered with a six-speed manual but we haven’t yet seen any reviews of it.
