Regardless of whether or not you think the Ford Mustang Mach-E should actually be badged as a ‘Mustang,’ it has proven itself to be a great EV for those who want something that’s fast, practical, luxurious, and fun to drive.

Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire purchased a Mustang Mach-E three months ago and in this video, reveals what it has been like to own as a daily driver.

Being the driving enthusiast that he is, Farah opted for the Mach-E Premium Extended Range RWD model that has 290 HP and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) of torque. It can travel 300 miles (482 km) on a charge and during his review, Farah says that is more than enough for him and his wife. In fact, he says that they have only ever used a public charger one time and that wasn’t out of necessity but rather curiosity. Instead, all their charging is done at home and Farah’s car storage facility in Los Angeles.

During the clip, Farah says that he treats the Mustang Mach-E as an appliance and that has an appliance, it is fantastic. He comments positively on features such as the Bang & Olufsen stereo and is also a big fan of the infotainment system. He notes that the wireless Apple CarPlay works well with his iPhone 12 but doesn’t work well with his wife’s iPhone 10.

Another issue relates to the key. With the Mustang Mach-E, Ford only provides one physical key for it and also offers owners the ability to start the car through their phone. However, Farah has had issues with the phone-as-a-key system in the past and prefers not to use it, meaning he has to share the single physical key with his wife, which is an inconvenience.
