We can all relate to the feeling of urgency when you are driving on the highway and you really need to visit the restroom. This is what allegedly happened to a woman in the UK who was caught speeding in her white Mercedes-AMG G63.
As described by the Derbyshire Police Road Unit on Twitter, the driver of the G-Class was traveling at speeds between 100-130 mph (161-209 km/h) on the M1 motorway, averaging 113 mph (182 km/h). The highest permitted speed in the UK is 70 mph (113 km/h), which means the driver exceeded the limit by a full 60 mph (97 km/h).
When the police stopped the driver, she told them she was driving so fast because “she needed the toilet”. To make matters even worse, the driver held a provisional license and didn’t have a supervisor in the vehicle. As required by UK law, the vehicle was seized by the officers and the woman will have to pay serious fines in order to get back on the road.
The NPCC Speed Operation 2021 is now in full swing. Last night, @DerbyshireRPU clocked this driver, on the M1, travelling at an excess speed of 130mph.
The driver was unsupervised and only held a provisional licence.

We don’t know if the driver was telling the truth, but even if she did, she could use the available toilets in one of the exits. Guess she didn’t even think of it…

Perhaps she though that the Mercedes-AMG G63, a seriously fast SUV, would get her there in time. Its twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 produces 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) and 627lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque right from the factory and is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint only takes 4.5 seconds while top speed is limited to either 137 mph (220 km/h) or 149 mph (240 mph) with the optional AMG Driver’s package.
