A host of new images of the 2022 Genesis G80 Sport have been released as the model gears up for its release in South Korea.
A key update made to the G80 Sport is the fitment of a firmer suspension system with tweaked springs and shocks. Drivers can tweak the ride based on different driving modes. In addition, Genesis has equipped the G80 Sport with rear-wheel steering that turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front ones at speeds of up to 37 mph (60 km/h), helping to improve maneuverability.

Genesis will sell the G80 Sport in South Korea with the same 2.2-liter turbo-diesel and 2.5-liter and 3.5-liter petrol engines found in lesser variants. The base 2.5-liter turbocharged four has 300 hp and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) of torque and the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is good for 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm). The diesel is rated at 207 hp and 325 lb-ft (441 Nm) and all engines are coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
A number of visual changes have also been made to the G0 Sport. For example, it features a dark chrome grille and a revised front bumper with new air intakes and sharp lines. There are also a unique set of 20-inch wheels that come standard and sit over brake calipers finished in either red or black. Dark chrome accents continue along the sides of the G80 Sport and extend across the rear. Unique tailpipes are also featured.
Tweaks have also been made to the cabin of the G90 Sport, with the most obvious update being the fitment of a three-spoke steering wheel and unique dashboard garnish available with an aluminum, carbon fiber, and a diamond-patterned hybrid weaving finish. The car also comes with a new Active Sound Design system that amplifies the sound of the engine through the speakers.
It remains unclear when the 2022 Genesis G80 Sport will launch in other markets.
