The Infiniti QX80 is getting long in tooth, but the luxury SUV is getting a much needed update for 2022.
While the exterior styling appears to carryover, designers have brought the interior into the 21st century thanks to a modernized center stack and an all-new 12.3-inch infotainment system.
The latter is the star of the show as it replaces the previous dual screen setup and looks far more modern than its predecessor. Infiniti didn’t say much about the system, but it features InTouch Services as well as navigation with lane guidance. Users will also find wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility, but Android fans better bring a USB cable.

Putting the infotainment system aside, the 2022 QX80 has been equipped with higher quality switchgear and an all-new wireless smartphone charger. The latter hides behind a wooden panel, but a wireless charging indicator remains visible even when the door is closed.
Infiniti didn’t say much else about the model, but they noted the SUV comes standard with heated front seats as well as second-row captain’s chairs. Buyers will also find leather upholstery as well as Intelligent Cruise Control and a Bose premium audio system.
Power is provided by a familiar 5.6-liter V8 engine that produces 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission, which can be paired with an optional four-wheel drive system.
Pricing and launch details remain elusive, but the 2022 Infiniti QX80 will likely arrive at dealerships later this year.
