Aston Martin is gearing up for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance by announcing the North American debut of the Valhalla as well as the introduction of an all-new model that will extend the company’s “performance credentials a step further.”
While the automaker was coy on specifics, they released a teaser image which reveals the mystery model is the Valkyrie Roadster.
The car will be unveiled on August 12th and look virtually identical to the coupe. However, it loses its roof and this should allow for an open air experience unlike anything else.

Aston Martin is keeping details under wraps, but the standard Valkyrie has a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1014 PS) and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) of torque. Those are some truly monumental figures, but they’re only half of the story as the model also features a hybrid system that contributes an additional 160 hp (119 kW / 162 PS) and 207 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque.
Thanks to this setup, the Valkyrie is a bona fide hypercar as it features a combined output of 1,160 hp (865 kW / 1,176 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in less than 2.5 seconds.
While full details will be released later this month, the Valkyrie Roadster will be joined by an assortment of other models including the AMR21, V12 Speedster and 1964 DB5. Other highlights include a DB5 Goldfinger Continuation as well as brand’s “core sportscars, GTs and SUV.”
Aston Martin is also using the event to mark their 70th anniversary in the United States. The first model to arrive in America was a DB2 and it was a huge success for the brand as approximately a third of all DB2s were sold in the United States. The country’s importance continues today as roughly 30% of all Aston Martins continue to be sold in America.
