With so many regulations impacting the design of modern cars, it has become increasingly difficult for designers to create automobiles as beautiful as those from previous decades. The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster is an exception to this rule.

Launched through a collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato, the special Vanquish was offered in Coupe, Volante, Shooting Brake, and Speedster configurations. Just 28 examples of the Speedster were sold and one of them is now up for sale.

Adorning the exterior of this example is a color known as Lava Red. It also features the Villa d’Este Package that saw Aston Martin finish the badges, wheel spokes, and side strakes in bronze.

A look inside the cabin reveals a dashboard clad in a combination of Bitter Chocolate Caithness and Sahara Tan Caithness leather. This intriguing two-tone finish continues throughout the rest of the interior, including the seats and dashboard. Also found within is Spicy Red contrast stitching with Z-shaped quilt stitched accents, while the floor mats are finished in Spicy Red.

Making this Vanquish Zagato Speedster particularly desirable is the fact that it has never been driven on the road and only has 45 miles on the clock, which is delivery mileage. The Piston Heads listing notes that it has been stored since new and is in as-new condition.

Powering the car is a 5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 with 392 hp, allowing it to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds.

This particular car has an asking price of £845,000 ($1.16 million). That’s a lot of money, but it is unclear if the car will actually sell for that much as 12 months ago, bidding on a Vanquish Coupe in the U.S. failed to exceed $420,000, despite the fact that it had a retail price of $820,000.
