A motorist in the U.S. has captured the moment the rider of a motorcycle crashed their bike into an oncoming car while attempting to do a wheelie.

The clip posted to Reddit was filmed by the passenger of a car traveling in front of the biker. A couple of seconds into the video, the biker briefly looks to see what’s behind him and then twists the throttle, bringing the wheel of the motorbike into the air.

If you’ve ever ridden a motorcycle, you’ll know that controlling a wheelie isn’t easy and the biker in this case was a little too keen with the throttle, slipping off the seat and sending it into a Nissan traveling in the opposite direction. Based on the paint scheme of the bike, we suspect it is a Yamaha and when it hits the Nissan, it looks to initially make contact right around the driver’s door. The bike then flips into the air multiple times, throwing parts across the road.

While this is happening, the biker himself slides along the road and quickly gets onto his feet, seemingly without any significant injuries. The motorcycle, on the other hand, will definitely need a substantial amount of repairs – and the same, we suspect, applies to the Nissan it crashed into.
