Some drivers seem oblivious to road closures and that’s a recipe for disaster.
That brings us to this genius, who decided to drive through a construction zone and pick up a few souvenirs.
While the video doesn’t show the entire episode, it begins with the BMW X3 driving up a closed roadway from behind. While that’s odd by itself, things take a hilarious turn as you can see the crossover is covered in caution tape and is dragging a construction cone.

Making things even more ridiculous is the fact that the cones were apparently tied together and now the X3 features de facto streamers made out of caution tape. However, this doesn’t stop the driver who continues undeterred.
While little is known about the incident, it appears the driver didn’t want to wait in traffic to get to the opening for the turn lane. As a result, they apparently plowed through the barriers without a care in the world.
Needless to say, ignoring barriers is a bad idea as it can put yourself and others in danger. We see this time and time again during heavy rains, when drivers disregard signs only to get stuck on a flooded roadway.
More recently, the Michigan Department of Transportation posted photos of a Kia Soul that tried to drive onto a closed entrance or exit ramp. Unbeknownst to the driver, it was closed because crews had just laid wet concrete. They quickly discovered this after becoming stuck.
