Dodge is hard at work developing a range of electrified models that we know will include an all-electric muscle car for 2024. It has now been revealed the car manufacturer will unveil an electric concept car next year.
Limited details about this concept are known but it’s entirely possible that it could be a precursor to the muscle car scheduled for 2024. If that’s the case, Dodge will be able to use the concept to gauge customer interest in the car and, if needed, make some changes to the eventual production model. Moreover, next year won’t only see the introduction of this concept but will also include the launch of a plug-in hybrid model.
Speaking with Auto News about Dodge’s electrification plans that will be announced in the fourth quarter, chief executive Tim Kuniskis said the company wants to bring new customers to the brand while also retaining its existing fan base.

“We hope that we draw a different type of consumer, and keep the consumer that we have today,” Kuniskis said. “That’s very important to us, and that’s why we want to get our concept car out next year and explain to people exactly what we’re going to do. When things go into an electrified environment, we want to explain to people: Dodge muscle car first. And, by the way, it happens to have electrification to make it better.”
Kuniskis added that Stellantis chief executive Carlos Tavares is fully supportive of the brand’s electric muscle car.
“Carlos Tavares is a very, very smart guy, and he looked at it and he said this is very, very unexpected. Let’s really shock the world. We’re serious about this. We’re so serious about it, we can take something that you don’t think can be electrified and we can keep it true to what it is, and keep it cool and keep growing this brand.”
