An out-of-control car almost crashed into a family eating outside a Wendy’s restaurant in South Brunswick, New Jersey.

The accident happened at approximately 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon after the driver of a silver sedan suffered a medical episode while driving south on Route 130. Security camera footage from outside the restaurant shows the car veering off the road, striking a berm and flying through the air.

The car slammed into two other vehicles waiting in the drive-thru line and rolled onto its side. It came to a stop mere feet from a family that were eating outside at the time.

NJ reports that the driver of the car that crashed was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was expected to be released on Thursday. A child in one of the cars at the drive-thru line was also hurt but didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries.

South Brunswick police chief Raymond Haydukca confirmed that no charges have been filed.

“This is nothing short of a miracle that no one was seriously injured or killed in this crash,” he commented.

We haven’t been able to find any images taken after the crash that reveal the extent of the damage done to the car that flew through the air, the vehicles it hit in the drive-thru, or the Wendy’s restaurant itself.
