Adding extra lights to the front of a vehicle is nothing new. However, the owner of this first-generation Ford F-250 took it to another level by installing a bunch of LED bars and spotlights on the front end of their truck.
The result looks more like stadium lighting and less like a car while powering the LEDs would most likely blind any unlucky person – or animal – standing on its way.
We found the pictures of this beast on Reddit’s Shitty Car_Mods by user Connrick. We counted 18 wide LED bars and at least 34 smaller LED spotlights mounted on the metal front bumper, the hood, and the roof.
As some users suggested in their comments, the power needed for all those lights would be a nightmare for the truck’s battery, quickly draining its juice – so we guess a heavy-duty one might have been installed. Regardless, one can only imagine what would happen if all of those LED units were on at the same time during nighttime.
The first-generation Ford F-250 and the equivalent Ford Excursion SUV were launched back in 1999. The truck measures anywhere from 222.2 inches (5,644 mm) to 262 inches (6,655 mm) depending on the configuration, while the SUV measured an impressive 226.7 inches (5,758 mm). This specific example of the F-250 is equipped with a lifted suspension, aftermarket fender add-ons, off-road bumpers, a winch, and mud flaps.
Setting aside any jokes, this number of light bars is definitely not safe for other road users. We hope the owner doesn’t turn them on while driving on public roads as this could be quite dangerous for anyone driving in the opposite direction.
