Another day and another video has hit the web of a Ford Mustang crashing. However, this particular incident is a little different than most. And oh, a Chevrolet Camaro crashed as well.
The two crashes happened at a recent event in the U.S. and appears to be the same drag strip that claimed a red Mustang back in July. The Mustang in question was a fifth-generation model and lined up against a modified GMC for a sprint down the quarter-mile.

The driver of the Mustang initially encounters some wheel spin but once the pony car hooks up, it appears to start closing in on the GMC. However, roughly halfway down the quarter-mile, the rear tires of the Ford suddenly lose traction. This sends the car briefly sliding to the left before it violently snaps back to the right. The driver hits the brakes but wasn’t able to prevent the car from slamming into the concrete wall on the side of the track.
Footage of the crash was shared to Reddit and it is claimed that just before the Ford’s run, another car blew a connecting rod on the right side of the track, spilling oil across the tarmac. Apparently, those working at the drag strip did a poor job of cleaning up the track, hence why the driver lost control so suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere.
The damage sustained to the Mustang looks to be quite comprehensive with the front end taking the brunt of the impact before the passenger side also slammed into the concrete barrier.
And it wasn’t the only one, as beyond the ‘Stang, an older generation Chevrolet Camaro also appeared to lose control and smash into the wall at the same event after sliding on the oil.
