The McLaren 765LT is one of the most potent supercars currently on sale and the guys over at Novitec recently put one through its paces on the Autobahn.
The 765LT featured in this video is a completely stock example but Novitec does offer a number of upgrades for the British supercar. Even though this car doesn’t have them, the way it picks up speed is simply breathtaking.
As you may already know, the 765LT is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 755 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. However, McLaren has made a name for itself in recent years for understating the power and torque figures of its models and dyno tests have indicated the 765LT may have closer to 900 hp.

That’s an extraordinary amount of power, especially for a car as light as the 765LT and makes for an epic performer along the Autobahn. Plus, it’s not like the 765LT is an unruly beast that bumps and shudders over every little pebble on the road as it uses a similar suspension system to other McLaren models, providing it with the kind of ride comfort you’d ordinarily only expect to find in a luxury car.
McLaren’s official claim is that the 765LT only needs 2.8 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) but what we find even more impressive is how it is able to build speed beyond the 124 mph (200 km/h) mark.
