The 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite may not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when looking for an engine bay to drop a Hellcat engine in but that’s exactly what we have here.

This particular Plymouth Sport Satellite has been extensively modified by Weaver Customs, a shop in Utah that left no stone unturned when modifying and modernizing the car. As a means of making a statement, driving around in this Plymouth is certainly one way to do it.

As mentioned, the car is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8. Ordinarily, this engine pumps out 707 hp but Weaver Customs didn’t think that was quite enough and have increased it to the 900 hp mark. To fit this engine, the shop had to craft a custom hood and have coupled it to a six-speed transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear axle.

Comprehensive work has also been done to the exterior of the Sport Satellite. In fact, most of the body panels have been crafted by hand from sheet metal and including bespoke front and rear bumpers, a cool lip spoiler at the rear, and air intakes in place of two of the standard headlights. The car looks extremely menacing and obviously cost a lot to put together.

Other changes made to the car include the fitment of Scotts Hotrods suspension and upgraded Wilwood brakes to ensure the car can brake just as well as it accelerates. The interior has also been thoroughly overhauled and includes a billet pistol grip shifter, a bespoke steering wheel, unique seats, and a brand new dashboard.

Interestingly, this Plymouth has been owned by the same person since 1973 and in its new form, should keep them satisfied for decades to come.
