The Lamborghini Aventador is a seriously expensive car, but for roughly 10 times less than buying a new one, you could pick up this used replica up for sale on eBay.
The listing reveals that this Aventador replica is based on a 2005 Pontiac GTO, also known as a Holden Monaro. It is powered by a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated LS2 V8 that has been upgraded to produce around 500 hp, which is sent through the rear wheels through a standard GM 4L60E automatic transmission.
The seller claims to have purchased the car two years ago and isn’t the one who originally built it.
Obviously, the car is front-engined, meaning no one is going to be fooled into thinking this is a genuine mid-engined Lamborghini Aventador. The unique bodywork has been crafted from fiberglass and tries hard to closely mimic the real thing, in particular the front end with its large air intakes, angular headlights, and sculpted bodywork.

The new body panels continue along the sides and include prominent side air intakes and black wheels with Lamborghini center caps. Found at the rear is a decklid and ‘engine cover’ inspired by the Aventador, as are the taillights, diffuser, and central tailpipe. There is even a fake “V12” under the engine cover.
While the replica won’t fool anyone into thinking it is a true Lambo, the seller claims that it “runs and drives great” and “has tons of power.” It has also been equipped with a removable fiberglass hardtop and the seller notes that there is a crack in the fiberglass bodywork at the rear.
The car has been listed up for sale with a Buy It Now price of $49,000 and a starting bid of $42,999. At the time of writing, no bids had been placed, even though 70 people were watching the sale.
