The Jeep Wrangler will soon be offered in a bright shade of pink, Stellantis chief design officer Ralph Gilles has revealed.
Gilles recently took to Instagram to make the announcement, publishing a single low-resolution picture of a Wrangler finished in a color known as ‘Tuscadero.’ Mopar Insiders reports that Gilles soon deleted the post, replacing it with a separate post showcasing an original Dodge Viper sketch he made back in 1995 also finished in pink.

The color gets its name from Happy Days character Carol ‘Pinky’ Tuscadero who was famous for wearing various pink outfits.

A little bit of digging on the part of Mopar Insiders reveals that ordering for Tuscadero-painted Wrangler models has already opened. Dealers note that the color is available on all Wrangler trim levels, with the exception of those with the recently-announced half-doors. Pricing details aren’t known at this stage.
Interestingly, Tuscardero isn’t an all-new color and was previously offered for the 2010 Dodge Challenger although at that time, it was known as Furious Fuchsia. With approximately 30% of Wrangler owners being female, it is certainly the most appropriate vehicle for Stellantis to offer in this new color.
A handful of other new colors have been added to the Wrangler’s palette for the 2021 model year. These include Chief Blue, Nacho, and Gecko Green.
