A low-mileage 2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s this Saturday during Monterey Car Week.
While the standard LFA was already a serious performer in its own right, Lexus decided to builed an even more track-focused version which was named the Nurburgring Edition. Of the 500 LFA models produced, just 64 of them were Nurburgring variants and of these, 25 were sold in the United States.

This particular car is number 303. It left the automaker’s Motomachi plant in March 2012 and is one of just three black LFA Nurburgring models in the U.S. The Nurburgring Edition benefits from a series of upgrades over the standard car, including a carbon rear wing, carbon fiber splitter, and carbon side skirts, as well as unique BBS magnesium wheels and stickier Bridgestone tires. Lexus also lowered the car’s ride height by 0.4 inches (10 mm) to improve its handling.
Power is provided by a 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V10 that revs to 9,000 rpm and delivers 562 hp, 10 hp more than the standard LFA. At the time of its launch, the LFA Nurburgring Edition was the fastest car around the Nordschleife with a lap time of 7 minutes and 14.64 seconds.
While this LFA is almost a decade old, it has been driven less than 930 miles (~1,500 km) and is being sold with LFA-branded luggage, a crystal block LFA display piece, spark keys, a pen, flashlight, tire inflation kit, and a trickle charger. It also has a set of Sparco racing gloves from Lexus Racing driver Scott Pruett.
