We’ve updated our Dacia Jogger article with illustrations made by Jean Francois Hubert/SB-Medien for CarScoops. These speculative renders are based on Dacia Jogger (MCV) prototypes we’ve spied over the past few months as well as teasers, and are not related to nor endorsed by Dacia.
Dacia has revealed that its new Logan-based 7-seater MCV will be named Jogger through a teaser video, and just in time, we’ve cooked up our own renders to show you what it likely look like.7 . The upcoming model that is described by the Romanian automaker as an “outdoor family car”, will make its world premiere at the 2021 IAA Mobility show in Munich following its online premiere on September 3.
Camouflaged prototypes of the MCV were spied during winter testing back in February with Dacia officially confirming the new model in July. According to the latest press release, the Jogger will be offered with 5-seat and 7-seat layouts, offering versatility for large families.
The new model is basically a crossover/wagon version of Dacia’s B-segment family. Naturally, it will be based on a stretched version of the CMF-B platform which already underpins the new Sandero (supermini), Sandero Stepway (crossover), and Logan (sedan).

The teaser video reveals the large and high-mounted taillights together with a portion of the profile and a set of practical roof bars/rails similar to those on the Sandero Stepway. Dacia states that the Jogger is “geared towards outdoor activities” so we expect it to feature a number of crossover-inspired styling cues, including plastic cladding on the bumpers, doors, and fenders.
This Is What The Jogger Should Look Like Without The Smoke Screen
As the following renderings suggest, the Jogger could share its whole front end with the Sandero Stepway, up to the B-pillar, reducing production costs – although Dacia could always opt for a few changes to further differentiate the model. Most importantly, a stretched wheelbase, a longer roofline, additional side windows, and a redesigned tail would transform it into a family vehicle.
The almost vertical cut of the rear end in combination with the longer rear overhang will provide enough space for an extra row of seats – probably suitable for young children – and also contribute to a significantly larger boot in the 5-seater version.
Dacia hasn’t shared any specs but we expect the Jogger to share engines with the rest of the pack. This means it could get the naturally aspirated 1.0-liter producing 64 hp (48 kW / 65 PS), the turbocharged 1.0-liter producing 89 hp (66 kW / 90 PS), and the bi-fuel 1.0-liter producing 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS) when burning LPG.
While the Dacia Jogger will probably be exclusively offered in front-wheel-drive variants (in contrast with the Duster that is also offered in 4WD), its adequate ground clearance will allow for occasional light off-roading. Most importantly, the adventurous styling will attract customers who love an SUV look but also prioritize practicality and interior space.
