This is an independent rendering by Kolesa based on recent prototype sightings that is neither related to nor endorsed by Genesis.

The next-generation Genesis G90 is just around the corner and if these renderings prove accurate, it will look quite different than the outgoing model.

Recent spy shots of the car testing at the Nurburgring have prompted the design artists from Kolesa to digitally strip away the camouflage and imagine what the G90 will look like. As you would imagine, it has some styling elements similar to existing Genesis models but also has some unique pieces of design.

The front of the new G90 will feature Genesis’ pronounced crest grille and Quad Lamp headlights, although they will be slightly thinner and smaller than those found on the G80. Kolesa has also rendered the fascia with a unique lower grille.

Styling alterations continue along the sides and include a unique set of wheels and pronounced turn signals on the front quarter panels. Spy shots have also revealed the car will feature pop-out door handles, which are incorporated in these renderings.

The most intriguing aspect of the new G90, though, would have to be its rear-end. All current Genesis models feature Quad Lamp taillights, similar to those found at the front and forming a key part of the South Korean’s automaker current design language. However, these renderings depict the G90 with slightly different taillights that include two full-width LED light bars. It’s an intriguing look and would certainly help to distinguish the G90 from lesser Genesis models.

Beyond its design, the new car will ditch the current model’s 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 and instead use the company’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6. As for its unveiling, it could happen before the end of the year.
