PaxPower’s GMC Sierra Jackal Is Ready To Hunt Raptors With Up To 650 HP

A tuning company by the name of PaxPower has just unveiled its pumped-up version of the GMC Sierra 1500, dubbed the Jackal.

The truck has been created as an alternative to the ever-popular Ford F-150 Raptor and is available with two engine configurations. Those GMC Sierra 1500 models equipped with GM’s 5.3-liter can be modified with a 3.0-liter supercharger that lifts grunt from 355 hp up to 500 hp. Meanwhile, Sierra’s 6.2-liter V8 can also be boosted by a 3.0-liter supercharger, increasing its output from 420 hp to 650 hp, almost within striking distance of the RAM 1500 TRX’s 702 hp.

Beyond the engine upgrades, Stage 1 and Stage 2 upgrades are available. The first of these adds adjustable King Racing 2.5-inch coilovers and shocks, as well as a fabricated upper control arm with a stronger uniball joint, rather than the factory ball joint. These suspension modifications give the truck a 3.5-inch lift. Stage 1 Jackal models from PaxPower also feature 17-inch wheels and 35-inch off-road tires. Other upgrades include a unique hood, fender flares, and a stainless-steel exhaust from Borla.

Customers wanting something a little more can opt for the Stage 2 package. This model includes the same King coilovers and shocks but has new upper and lower control arms to further increase the ride height. Stage 2 models also feature Deaver progressive-rate leaf springs.

Pricing for the Stage 1 package starts at $17,950 while Stage 2 is available from $27,950. PaxPower also offers a Jackal variant of the Chevrolet Silverado.
