The all-electric Pininfarina Battista has hit U.S. streets for the very first time as it attends a host of events during Monterey Car Week.
The Battista in question has a Black Exposed Signature Carbon exterior finish and polished forged aluminum alloy wheels that really help it to stand out. It was driven through some of the gorgeous mountain roads in California and looks every bit as beautiful on the road as it does on a dealership floor.
Not only are the events in Monterey the first where those in North America will have the chance to see the Battista but throughout the week, the car manufacturer will also showcase the unique soundscape it produces for the first time. This unique sound has a core frequency of 54 Hz, an organic frequency that is a multiple of 432 hZ which is said to be “mathematically consistent with the universe” and a “pure sound.”
“Every driver has an emotional bond with a car and the sound of Battista will nature this connection, not by replicating a familiar car sound, but with one that radiates the beauty of Battista’s design both inside and out,” product platform director of sports cars at Automobili Pininfarina, Rene Wollman said in a statement. “This way, the Battista will not only impress with its aesthetic appeal and performance, but also on a new emotional level enhanced through the sound. We look forward to the input we will receive from clients in the U.S. as we fine-tune Battista’s sonic experience.”
In addition to showcasing this carbon-clad Battista at Monterey, Pininfarina is bringing along a Battista Anniversario model, one of just 5 units bound for the production line.
