A company that has developed a pop-up camper for the Tesla Cybertruck claims to have already received $80 million in pre-orders.

The camper is dubbed the CyberLandr and comes from a company named Stream It. We first wrote about the camper accessory in April and while Stream It specializes in artificial intelligence and software, it has seemingly created an accessory that Cybertruck reservation holders are very interested in.

Speaking with Business Insider, Stream It chief executive Lance King says the thought of the Cyberlandr came up when he was pre-ordering his own Cybertruck and realized that no existing RV or camper would be compatible with the Tesla’s unique shape. Despite his company having no previous experience with campers, King believes this is a positive.

“Tesla would never have been able to reinvent the car had they been in the car business,” King told Business Insider. “Just being in that changes your field of vision. We think it was necessary to not be in the RV industry to create a truly new and unique product.”

King claims that in the first month after the Cyberlandr’s reveal, the company secured 1,000 orders. That’s a lot, especially when you consider the camper costs $50,000, more than the starting price of the Cybertruck itself.

Stream It has relied heavily on its software experience in designing the Cyberlandr, equipping it with features such as voice-controlled operation of the lights, water faucet, and temperature controls. There is also a 32-inch TV and the main living space can be converted from a kitchen into an office and even into a bedroom. Other features include heated floors, a small bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet, and smart glass that can dim.

Powering the camper’s accessories will be the Cybertruck’s own battery pack and 500-watt solar panels. Stream It expects the 1,200 lb camper to cut the truck’s range by approximately 5 percent.

While Tesla recently delayed the Cybertruck until next year, Steam It is pushing forward with the development of the Cyberlandr.
