Audi USA today announced that the new 2022 e-tron S and e-tron S Sportback electric SUVs will arrive in U.S. showrooms this fall with prices starting at $84,800, excluding a $1,095 destination fee.
That will be for the e-tron S, which has the standard two-box SUV design. The e-tron S Sportback, meanwhile, has a more sloping roofline giving it a coupe effect and will be priced a little higher, at $87,400, also excluding the destination fee.
Both of the above-listed prices are for the base Premium Plus trim that comes with 20-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.1-inch upper infotainment screen, and an additional 8.6-inch screen below it. They also come with standard fine ash wood trim, 12-way diamond-stitched Valcona leather seats, heated rear seats, and more.

Those looking for a little more luxury can opt for the Prestige trim, which adds $5,000 to the price of either model. That means that the e-tron S rings in at $89,800 and the e-tron S Sportback is priced at $92,400.
Perhaps the most important feature for the new all-electric SUVs is the added power. Thanks to a three-motor setup, the e-tron S and e-tron S Sportback make 429 hp (434 PS/319 kW) and 596 lb-ft (808 Nm) of torque. A special boost mode, though, helps the cars briefly get up to a max horsepower rating of 496 hp (502 PS/370 kW) and 718 lb-ft (973 Nm) of torque, or 62 lb-ft (84 Nm) more than a Hellcat.
With that extra power, the e-tron S can get up to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds. Big 15.7-inch brake discs with six-piston calipers help slow it all down and a 95 kWh battery keeps it all going for up to 208 miles (335 km) for the standard model, and up to 212 miles (341 km) for the Sportback.
