Few would describe the Chevrolet Malibu as a particularly attractive sedan, but thanks to the fitment of some unique wheels, the owner of this example has certainly made their car stand out – although not necessarily in a good way.
These images were snapped in North Texas and show the sedan on a set of massive aftermarket wheels that are clearly far too big for it and make it look like it’s a life-size Hot Wheels car.

It’s hard to say just how big these wheels are but they could be around 24- or 26-inches and are wrapped in low-profile tires. In addition to being much taller than the Malibu’s standard wheels, these Reddit images show they are also much wider and stick out considerably from the arches – which might cause them to scrape against them when turning.
Of course, it’s not just turning that could now be an issue in this Malibu. These wheels are obviously much heavier than the standard wheels and would impact the handling of the car. In addition, they would severely impact the ride quality of the Chevy and make it much more difficult to live with. Then again, when you go for something like this, you probably don’t care about such issues; most likely, you merely want to attract attention. And in that regard, the owner of this Malibu has succeeded.
