What we know as the Infiniti G35 Coupe in the U.S. was sold as the Nissan Skyline V35 Coupe in other markets. The loose connection with the Skyline GT-R probably gave this owner the idea to combine design elements of two Japanese sportscars into one. The result is this G35 that’s wearing the front panels from a GT-R R35.

The G35 Coupe was unveiled back in 2002, sharing its platform and engine with the Nissan 350Z. This specific example has received extensive modifications making it hardly recognizable from certain angles.

Starting with the front end, the owner has added the bumper, headlights, bonnet, and fenders from a Nissan GT-R which are nicely aligned to the rest of the bodywork. Although the overall proportions are quite different from the GT-R, people who are going to witness the model in their rear-view mirrors will definitely fall for it.

In order to match the wider front tracks, the owner has added custom bolt-on rear fenders and side skirt extensions. The aftermarket bronze HPE 20-inch rims are 2 inches wider at the rear, and there are also two round exhaust pipes at the back which look much larger than the stock units. The roofline, doors, greenhouse, and heavily tinted taillights are the only parts betraying the car’s origins. The owner wanted to convert the rear-end for a GT-R look but didn’t have enough time to do so.

Under the bonnet, there is a stock VQ35 3.5-liter V6 producing 280 hp (209 kW / 284 PS) and 366 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque, sending power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. We don’t have pictures of the interior but we heard it is full carbon fiber.

While the G35’s performance is far from GT-R rivaling, we have to congratulate the owner for his work on the bodywork – and, to our eyes, it is the craziest G35-based build after the insane Vaydor G35 kitcar.
