It’s a shame that Spyker is no longer producing sports cars like it was a decade ago but if you’re interested in one, a low-mileage example is currently up for grabs in Naperville, Illinois.
Spyker first introduced the C8 Laviolette in 2001 and this particular car is an LM85 variant that took inspiration from the Spyker Squadron GT2 racing cars. It has a striking Burned Almond Orange paint finished with Gunmetal grey accents and sits on 19-inch center-lock black Aeroblade wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

The car has been listed up for auction through Bring a Trailer and apparently remained with Spyker until 2015 when it was sold to a Russian businessman. It was later imported to the United States and acquired by the selling dealer in 2020. It has only ever been driven 1,200 km (~750 miles) and is being offered with factory books, period literature, luggage, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Michigan title.
The cabin of the C8 Laviolette LM85 features seats trimmed in black leather with quilted Alcantara and orange contrast stitching found on the centers of the seats, as well as the transmission tunnel, door panels, lower dashboard, trunk, and side sills. The rest of the dash is finished in engine-turned aluminum and a special plaque reveals that this is number 14 of the 24 LM85 models built.
Powering the Spyker is an Audi-sourced 4.2-liter V8 with 400 hp and 354 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a Getrag six-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels via a Drexler limited-slip differential.
