Toyota Racing Development has just unveiled a host of special parts for the Lexus ES that are only available in Japan.

At the front end there is a new lip which adds some extra aggression to the luxury sedan and is complementing by extended side skirts and a rear diffuser. These three parts are available in a painted finish or with a bare material finish. They don’t just alter the looks of the ES as they have also been designed to improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Elsewhere, customers will find unique wing mirror caps which also play an aerodynamic role and a bespoke rear bumper. There are also two different wheel designs that are available, including 20-inch forged rims and smaller 19-inch forged ones with a darker grey finish.

TRD has also made some less obvious changes. For example, there are a plethora of new underfloor braces that can be added to improve the car’s rigidity. Some subtle interior changes have been made, including a new panel on the doors.

All of these parts have been designed for the 2022 model year Lexus ES that was unveiled back in April. The updated model now comes standard with an 8.0-inch infotainment system while a larger 12.3-inch display is also available. Regardless of the size, both are now touch-friendly and have been moved 4.3 inches (109 mm) forward to put them within easy reach.
