Acura Says NSX Will Return Sometime In The Future

Good news. Sort of. While there are no concrete plans just yet to bring the NSX name back, the door has been left open by Acura Vice President and Brand Officer Jon Ikeda. Two reports sight him as being confident that the nameplate returning, being hinted that a new NSX would be all-electric.

The 2022 VW Jetta Gets A Very Light Refresh And 11 Extra Horsepower Thanks To New 1.5 TSI

VW is updating the Jetta for the U.S. market, with a new 1.5-liter TSI engine from the Taos. The 2022 Jetta now makes 158 hp (160 PS/117 kW) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque, which is 11 more horsepower than the outgoing engine, but with no bump in torque. THe GLI will retain the 228 hp (231 PS/170 kW) 2.0-liter engine. There are changes to trim levels too, while the Jetta gets a mild visual update in the form of new front and rear bumpers, colors, wheel options, and grille.

2024 BMW M5 And M550i xDrive Successors To Get Plug-in Hybrid Powertrains, Says Report

According to a report by Autocar, the new BMW 5-Series will be launched alongside the all-electric i5, with most of the hybrid inline-4 and inline-6 powertrains being carried over to the new generation. Both the M5 and M550i, however, could become plug-in hybrids, developing more power than ever before. The report expects the M5 to use a V8 PHEV configuration, the M550i could become an inline-6 motor with plug-in abilities.

Ford Has Reportedly Booked More Than 100,000 Reservations For The 2022 Maverick Pickup

Ford’s Maverick was received positively when it was unveiled and according to one report the small pick-up has received over 100,000 reservations. The majority of reservations have come from Los Angeles, followed by Orlando, San Francisco, and Houston. Although these reservations are no-obligation, the Blue Oval is confident they’ll translate into sales as they did with the Mach-E and Bronco before it.
