A gorgeous 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari sold for $3.1 million at an auction during Monterey Car Week.

It has been eight and a half years since the hybrid hypercar was unveiled. U.S. pricing started at just over $1.4 million so it has clearly become quite a valuable investment in recent years. However, prices for used LaFerraris do seem to have stagnated at around $3 million.

A look through previous auction results of used LaFerrari models shows that the highest price paid for one came in August 2016 when a satin black example sold for $4.7 million. In the years since, most other LaFerraris to be sold at public auction have fetched between $3 million and $3.4 million. This particular example was expected to sell for between $3 million and $3.5 million.

The LaFerrari in question has only been driven 131 miles (210 km) and is painted in Rosso Corsa. Making it stand out from most others is the fact that the car has a color-matching roof, whereas most LaFerrari models were ordered with gloss black roofs. It also rocks Scuderia Shields on the front fenders, has red brake calipers, and sits on five-spoke silver wheels.

Found in the cabin is black leather upholstery with red piping and stitched Ferrari Cavallino Rampante accents. There are also heaps of carbon fiber accents found throughout the cabin.

The supercar industry has moved so fast in recent years that the SF90 Stradale is now just as fast as the LaFerrari, despite being a full-scale production model and priced from just over $500,000. However, it won’t prove to be quite the investment of the LaFerrari.
