The new model is based around the Mazda2 G15 Pure and adds black 16-inch wheels as well as black mirrors, a black front grille, and chrome tailpipes. The interior is also finished in a combination of black cloth upholstery and red trim.

Elsewhere across the Mazda2 range, the supermini has been updated for the 2022 model year with the availability of a new shade dubbed Platinum Quartz Metallic for both the sedan and hatch models. The Polymetal Grey previously offered exclusively on the hatch is also now available for the sedan.
