British car dealership and performance shop Clive Sutton has just unveiled a modified variant of the Ford Mustang Mach 1 dubbed the 767 Edition.
The car gets its name from 767 mph, which equals Mach 1, and just so happens to have 767 hp. Such a significant gain in power over the standard 5.0-liter V8 of the Mustang Mach 1 has been achieved thanks to the fitment of a massive 3.0-liter supercharger with a dual-pass charge cooler and a H-pipe exhaust system.

Sutton hasn’t confirmed performance times for the car but has revealed that it will be offered with the same six-speed Tremec manual transmission and 10-speed automatic that the Mustang Mach 1 is available with from the factory. All 767 Edition models from Sutton are also equipped with Ford Performance wheels clad in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
“Exclusivity, range-beating performance and absolute attention to detail are all qualities our customers look for – we’ve delivered each in spades with the Mach 1 – 767 Edition,” founder and chief executive Clive Sutton said in a statement. “The fact we managed to ‘hit the speed of sound’ figure with our horsepower upgrades makes this model even more special… it’s so much more of a Mach 1 than the stock version!”
Various other modifications have been made to the pony car. For example, it has been fitted with Ford Performance anti-roll bars and various upgraded subframe and suspension components. A more pronounced front splitter and rear wing have also been fitted.
Buying a Ford Mustang Mach 1 – 767 Edition from Clive Sutton will set back British customers a minimum of £96,000. By comparison, a standard Mustang Mach 1 is available from £55,185 locally.
